Currently in Edinburgh, performing in Summerhall with Protein Dance‘s Border Tales everyday except Mondays from now until 26 August.

This run of Border Tales is supported by The Place and it is one of three hit shows it brings to the Edinburgh Fringe. Check out the posters around Edinburgh.

Here’s the Facebook Live and article from the London Evening Standard.

What a great reception from audiences from the first preview on 4 August. Here’s a photo taken by The Place, which was shared on their Facebook fan page:

It has been a brilliant experience working on Border Tales (Protein Dance). It was great to be there right from the beginning, from the creation process, the residencies, the sharing, the premiere and the tour.

I found the project interesting because of its premise (the nature of the work partly touches on the perception of how the West sees the Muslims and Arabs) and artistically, I was not only dancing, I was also acting, using spoken text and singing, all of which I’ve trained in when I was at Cairo Opera House Dance Theatre School. Sadly, all good things must come to an end (for now maybe) and the team performed its last show at London’s Greenwich Dance in May.
